I recently ran across some neat Japanese designs called “Kumiko”. They’re essentially a bunch of techniques used for making intricate wooden design without the use of nails. Needless to say, this technique looks amazing went built from wood, so I figured I’d give it a shot on one of my planter designs to see how it turned out.
So this is the first of hopefully several renditions of some kumiko designs. This one is a variation of the Asanoha pattern. Enjoy.
